I am in USA. Big Tone KMA, I really could give two craps about "Saving the Planet" Global Warming is a joke. This uneducated country elected a pres who wants us to be dependant on others oil. He just banned off shore drilling. I am concerned with making myself self sufficent and saving some money.

There are many.
go to www.dsireusa.org there is a map to choose your state or federal programs. There is also a federal tax deduction for solar, wind, and many other green energy systems.

Top notch question! I recognise and honor this question. Again I say good question.

I suggest that we ask this question of EACH OTHER, & our collective Governents, over and over again. Together, we can come up with increadible answers, don't you agree?

The important thing about asking…. is to use the answers.

yes, there is a tax break. then is some states you can sell the power you generate back to the grid, and just run your meter backwards.

keep building solar and wind = more mining & drilling and manufacturing = more jobs

PA, where are you? In Australia there are a range of subsidies, state and federal for PV, wind etc. plus water saving initiatives. I believe that several American states have support programs, and in Germany they have massive incentives. Your best action would probably be to Google 'energy subsidies incentives' + your local, state or federal authority and see what pops up.

Same old story- I'll support all this alternate energy crap so long as it costs me nothing.
Mate, if you are really concerned about "Saving The Planet" you would find the way to pay for the alternates without whining about the price!

Yes, the Australian Federal Government offers a generous $8000 rebate for the installation of solar panels on your home.

There is however an income cap. You have to be earning less than $100k per year.
