lol weird question but yea i really want to find out cuz one of my friends says that they consume equal electricity amount , which i think its totally not true. so yea , how much electricity does a computer use compared to a lamp?
Depends on a couple things really. The wattage of the light bulb and the computer. If you think about it, a home computer power supply is rated at around 300-500 watts. Now the computer isn’t probably using all this , but go at least half…that’s at least 150 watts for the CPU, now you need to add in the monitor. If it’s a big 19-22 inch, then there’s a 100 or so watts there. So you can see that the whole computer may use between 250 watts min to 400 watts.
That would be a flood lamp.
Hope this helps.
