please answer in Kilowatts or any other form of measuring energy. Also if you could give me a website that would be delightful. Thanks :D

Comparing to any other energy; wind energy is far cheaper than any.. It’s almost free energy, and the real money you spend is the initial investment to buiold your own wind power network. than all is free, the wind blows and give you free electricity, as like as solar energy that give you free hot water and free heating. But firstly you have to invest that little money to install the network tools..

i couldn’t tell you exactly. you might be able to find it on the web but in general it is probably similar, but changes with changing economic circumstances.

As wind power is more viable, it may mean that it becomes more available in future and as such it will mean that prices for it fall.

Hydro electricity is more variable with increasing unpredictable rainfall, increasing and moving with global warming. It may mean that people find in future that damns are in inefficient locations, and do not create load of cheap power. However in places like New Zealand that have plentiful rainfall, this is not really an issue.

difficult to tell you the exact numbers, installation costs are much bigger for hydroelectricity as it takes couple of decades for large hydropower projects to start giving profit. Wind installations such as wind turbines could bring profits after couple of years, but hydroelectricity is far more reliable, so it is really difficult to compare these two.

You have to provide a lot more information to answer that question. It’s dependent on many many factors:
1. The location: What’s the average annual wind at that location? What amount of water is consistently available.
2. How much power do you want to generate? Enough for your house? Enough for your city? State? Building a dam and water turbine gererator to supply energy for your house is not economical. But in the right location a wind turbine is cost effective.
3. What’s the reliability of the energy source? Do you need a battery storage system to supply energy when the wind stops or the sun goes down? Or do you have a constant non interrupted water flow for your hydro power.

So, you kind of have to work backwards, starting with knowing how much energy to want to produce. Then you can determine the size of the wind or hydro generator you need. Then you can determine the amount of wind or water that’s required to turn that generator. Then you increase the size or number of wind turbines or the size of dam and number of hydro turbines you need.

Lastly you have to factor in the amount of maintenance and the cost of distribution required to keep them running and deliver the power to users.

So unfortuntely there isn’t an answer because it depends on so many things.

However, you can say that if you are building a house in a location that has an excellent wind source and an excellent water source and you want energy just for your house a wind turbine is cheaper to build and run that a small dam and hydro turbine, but a solar panel array is likely the most cost effective.
