If compared with other netbook such as MSI Wind U100, for example, Dell Inspiron mini 12 really looks thin. The thick is less than 1 inch, precisely 0.9 inches. In fact, the size of screen and all of the body is about 2 inches more wide than Wind U100.
Yes, Dell Inspiron mini 12 showcase is 12-inch display screen, which is still rare compared with others netbook carried by other brands.
Despite similar body-thin like Apple MacBook Air, Dell Inspiron Mini 12 does feel strong. It feels comfortable. Indeed, Dell Inspiron Mini 12 have more wider size in average compared with others netbook and can causing not being easily inserted in the handbag.
From the completeness of the features, in fact mini-12 not far differents from others netbook by other brands. Like a modern netbook, 802.11g wireless functionality is supported, 12 inch display screen. RAM, for example, are still 1GB, but unfortunately you can not upgrading the RAM.
Display Screen
12-inch display screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, of course, is the specialty of Dell Dell Inspiron Mini 12. Wide screen resolution make the use of the netbook more fun when you surf in the virtual world. Two web pages side by side can be opened and read it with quite comfortably. However, the letters look smaller, less suitable for those who have started to crash because of the vision on the old age.
Views on the screen looks very bright (too bright even on the maximum setting), and horizontal perspectives are good enough. Views can still see quite comfortable with the direction of the side. However, there are good idea to push back the screen so that the rebound effect is not felt, too.
At the top of the LCD screen, as usual, presented with a 1.3 megapixel Webcam.
Keyboard
With a more physical width compared with another netbook, not strange when the keyboard on mini 12 is also more relieved (92 percent of normal keyboard). The distance the button are wide so that makes you comfortable when typing.
Dell includes six function keys which is F11, F12, Home, Del, Insert, End which are placed on the top right side. In addition, there are 10 other function keys (F1 – F10), which also have their own features, such as Bluetooth and contrast. The Fn button is placed on the left side of the bottom..
Under the keyboard panel there are square touchpad which is also quite wide field, complete with left and right click. Touchpad is quite responsive. However, perhaps because of the wide size and the location that fit under the keyboard plus the wide of palmrest, sometimes we do not get the desired response from the touchpad which have quite fibrous surface because the cursor can move suddenly if you have small wrist.
The other different from the other vendors, Dell chose to put a speaker on the top of keyboard panel. Unfortunately, the quality of the sound is less strong despite already set up to maximum volume. However, for a netbook that is used personally and private, may have sufficient volume.
Another panel at a different location is the on / off. key When most vendors of netbook putting it on the right top side, not so with Dell. Dell prefer to put this very small on / off button on the left top side, abreast with speakers panel.
The Body
On the right side appears 3-in-1 card reader, a headphone jack, microphone jack, one USB port, and one LAN port.
The placement of the USB port are on the way back, this make less fun when you use the netbook on the knees (although this is usually not recommended because the netbook radiate enough heat) than if it is on the way forward as in most of other netbook.
On the left side there are two USB ports, VGA-out port, and for security lock (Kensington lock). Two USB ports are located in the middle of the unit, with the initial keyboard.
When you use the netbook the back of the bottom display which is close to the battery felt a bit hot. However, the keyboard and the touchpad are not affected and still comfortable to use. The bottom of the netbook was only slightly warm. Maybe because of the wide surface from this netbook plus the combination of low power processors successfully influence the spread of heat.
Processor
Mini 12 is not using the processor Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz like the others.
This netbook packaged with the Intel Atom 1.6 GHz clock speed, but in different type, that is, the Z530 (Silverthorne). This processor is designed for the smaller size devices depend with N270, the size of Silverthorne CPU nearly half (13 x 14 mm) and charged a lower consumption (2 watts vs. 2.5 watt owned N270).
Processor is a bit saggy used with Microsoft Vista as the bundle from Dell. Booting takes 1.5 – 2 seconds. The Intel GMA 500 chipset seems less suitable for gaming, including lightweight games. From the benchmark result of 3DMark 2003, the score is only 382 and failed to run 3DMark06.
The Battery
Mini 12 comes with a standard battery pack of Li-Ion 3-cell. Not included in the battery the capacity rating. However, according to Dell, the battery is able to stand up to 3 hours of use.
The claims may be true, but there are conditions that must be fulfilled. Netbook must be set first to lower the performance. This can be done easily arranged through the property of the Windows Power Options (Current Power Plan). If you want to survive your battery, you need to lower the performance by choosing Power Saver mode. However, if you need the performance you can choose High Performance that will drain the battery power more quickly or you can choose Balanced mode to balance the power of the battery and the performance.
Weight
Despite come with 12 inches wide-screen, this Mini 12 was not heavy. By default (plus 3-cell battery), the weight is only 1.268 kg. When the battery removed, the weight will be 1.1 kg.
Dell appears mature enough to prepare this netbook so comfortable and convenient to carry anywhere. For other than mild, the adapter that integrates with the cable was also light and pretty. This adapter looks similar to the phone adapter although quite large. Unfortunately only two legs, so you have to bring converter if you don’t have 2 legs.
The weight of the adapter are 178 grams. If you take all, (netbook + 3-cell battery + adapter + converter), Dell Inspiron Mini 12 was still light enough with a total weight of 1.862 kg.
The advantages Dell Inspire Mini 12 is Wide screen and keyboard; thin physical; SIMcard slot; light
The disadvantages Dell Inspire Mini 12 is Mono speaker; price; SIMcard slot on the back of the battery; minimal LED indicators; RAM can not be upgraded.
Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Specification
This Dell Inspiron Price Range is USD$ 699

When considering the magnificent effects that gems and stones lend to fertility, it is very interesting to note that the use of gems and stones for their magical properties has been in practice for hundreds of years. And although diamonds may be a girl’s best friend today, how do diamonds compete with other gems and stones for lust and fertility? If your partner is feeling inspired for the all-important approaching Valentineâs Day, or perhaps a birthday, anniversary, special holiday, or just some amazing fertility surprise… these tips are for him.
For pearls of wisdom, remember that the Pearl is a product of the oyster, and the oyster just happens to be nature’s finest aphrodisiac. Pearls may range in color from white to black, but are commonly pale and shimmery. The magical properties of the pearl bring the wonderful gifts of peace of mind, focus, wisdom, patience, protection and love. And these are all properties that are important to the pearl’s finest magic – fertility! Legend has it that pearls are so closely related to fertility because of the time and patience that it takes for one oyster to produce just one pearl, much like the time and patience it takes to create one beautiful baby.
Or perhaps the choice is green. The green hues of the Emerald are symbolic of fertility, but this stone goes far beyond its color in its powers and properties to bring successful love, ensure domestic tranquility, stimulate the heart, arouse deep awareness, and bring good fortune and happiness. For what more could you ask in preparation for a baby?
And then thereâs the Ruby. And rubies are not just for Tuesday! Red in color, the ruby is the gemstone of power and passion. Its properties range from stimulating love and emotions to promoting mental concentration. The ruby also protects the wearer against unhappiness, and is even reputed to prevent miscarriage. Good spirits are said to dwell in the stone, so to maintain the joy, passion and love at home, bring on the ruby.
You might want to consider Quartz, both clear and rose. As a wonderful touch of magic, if you hold clear quartz at your solar plexus and steady your breathing for several minutes, your body will relax, your mind will clear, your emotions will calm, and your energy will surge. Need we say more? And rose quartz, known as the love stone, stimulates both the heart and blood and consequently other organs as well. If that is not enough, rose quartz is also known to stimulate sexual energy and to enhance fertility. All of this power in such a little stone! So place one (or more) on the body part of your choice, near your body or bodies, in your bedroom, or anywhere that the two of you meet for delicious intimacy or passionate love-making.
Or for a baby-making night to remember, consider the Moonstone. A cloudy-white feldspar stone, the moonstone is said to hold an image of the actual moon. Lovers have long revered the moonstone for its power to enhance passion, and for your purposes, moonstone also promotes fertility. Use your moonstone to glow all night long.
And letâs not forget Garnet, a stone that is reputed to increase circulation to the pelvic area and whose properties include vitality, strength and energy. If thatâs not enough, garnet also enhances sexual stimulation and fertility. As a touch of magic, a garnet placed over your uterus and ovaries will reduce menstrual discomfort and restore physical health.
So back to Diamonds. Although not a traditional lust or fertility gem, the diamond possesses the magical properties of permanence, fidelity, strength and protection⦠four very important and powerful qualities when multiplying your love by conceiving a child. So when all is said and done, maybe diamonds really are a girlâs best friend!
For Valentineâs gift giving, a fertility surprise, (or any special day), keep in mind that all gems and stones are rich in symbolic representations. It is the gift itself that makes the magic, especially if you are aware of the powers. Keep in mind too that most gems and stones can be found in the grandest or tiniest of specimens. Size doesnât matter, right? The romance, lust and fertility come with the spirit of the giving and the power of the love.

The Toyota Motor Corp. intends to push the Prius mainstream and offer incentives to boost its 2007 sales. The incentives are expected to amplify sales by 50 percent. Toyota also intends to offer low-interest loans to serve the same purpose.
With the new deals, auto purchasers could get their hands on the stunning Prius sedan without the need of putting their names on the long waiting list at dealerships or paying thousands of dollars beyond the book price for a used version. In regard Prius hybrid, the automaker is offering low-interest loan and lease incentives to boost sales in the United States by at least 50 percent. The zero-interest loans will be offered nationwide for 24 months. The lease will be offered for as low as $219 per month.
According to Bill Kwong, a company spokesman, Toyotaâs plan is to broaden the appeal of the Prius to more mainstream consumers. âToyota wants to sell more vehicles and reduce the wait time and high premiums consumers often had to endure. Customers sometimes had to wait four to six months for a Prius and that led to customer dissatisfaction, so we want to make them happier,â Kwong said. âWe also want to make the Prius more affordable for consumers, and if they are on the fence over purchasing a Prius hopefully [these incentives] will push them over.â
According to analysts, sales doldrums may have triggered the automaker to offer said inducements. Data from Global Insight, a market intelligence company, show that sales of the hybrid were flat in 2006, down to 106,971 units from 107,897 in 2005. â(These incentives) really show that the potential for hybrid sales is not unlimited, as some have said,â noted Rebecca Lindland, a Global Insight analyst. Lindland added that while Toyota wants sales to increase to 160,000 units in 2007, Global Insight has a more conservative forecast of 125,000 to 135,000.
âThe reason we have a hard time getting to the 150,000 number is there is increased competition in the overall hybrid market, and also when you do the economics of ownership, itâs not always the best purchase for a lot of people,â Lindland said.
Lindland further added, âConsumers are starting to question the additional expense of buying a hybrid, asking if they are saving money in the long run.â According to her, the regular consumers who buy hybrid versions of popular passenger cars like the Honda Accord, which can cost some $3,000 more than a regular model, will need 10 to 12 years to break even in fuel savings, assuming the price of gas remains within the $2.50 to $3 range. Honda Accord hybrid is famed for its quality auto parts that include the Toucan Cold Air Intake, VTEC engine, LED taillights, heated side mirrors, daytime running lights (DRLs) and more.
The Toyota Prius hybrid, consequently, runs on both petrol and electric motor. Prius, the first mass produced hybrid was acclaimed for its sophisticated technology, low emissions and high fuel economy.
âWe feel that there are a limited number of consumers for whom hybrids like Prius really fit into their lifestyles,â Lindland said. âBut delivery trucks, or garbage trucks â they are perfect for this type of vehicle because they do short city trips in stop-and-go traffic and they donât do a lot of highway driving. Thatâs perfect for a hybrid.â
Prius is said to be a favorite for environmentalists. While the current hybrid has a stated Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mileage return of 50 or 60 miles per gallon, only achievable when the vehicle is used around town or in stop-and-start driving in heavy traffic; long-distance driving or maneuvering the Prius on the highway will yield lesser mileage. In addition, EPAâs new fuel economy testing procedures are expected to cut fuel economy estimates for cars like the Prius by an average of eight to twelve percent starting this year.

Vedas means divine wisdom. Divine wisdom is divided into 4 parts viz. Rig, Yaju, Saam and Atharva. Rig encompasses well-being, attaining God, performing oneâs duty, love, austerities, compassion, helping others, generosity, service, vision of God, divinity, soul peace, divine creativity, sense of righteousness etc. Yaju encompasses daring, hard work, valour, bravery, protection, attack, leadership, name/ fame, victory, status etc. Saam encompasses play, merriment, joy, art of music, literature, touch, the gross objects of the 5 senses & cogitation over them, imagination of what one adores, movement, attraction, contentment etc. Atharva encompasses wealth, glory, gathering of objects, scriptures, herbs, food, clothes, ores, house, vehicles etc.
Study any living being and seriously & scientifically analyze their gross / subtle and external / internal activities and imaginations. Only then will you realize that their total consciousness moves about in 4 areas only viz 1) Rig â well being 2) Yaju â valour 3) Saan â sports 4) Atharva â wealth. Apart from these 4 areas, the wisdom flow of all living beings is not to be seen anywhere else. Rig can be called righteousness (Dharma), Yaju can be called salvation (Moksha), Saam can be called desires (Kaam) and Atharva can also be called wealth (Arth). In fact these are the 4 faces of Brahma (Creator). Brahma is said to be 4 faced despite having one face only because 4 types of wisdom flow emanates from his person. The meaning of Veda is wisdom and hence is one only. Yet despite being one only, it is seen expressing 4 aspects in the psyche of human beings. Hence 1 Veda has been classified under 4 headings for our benefit. In fact these are also the 4 arms of Lord Vishnu. These 4 classifications have been further classified as 4 Ashrams (Brahmacharya, Grihasthashram, Vanaprasthashram and Sanyasashram) and 4 Varnas (Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra ).
All these 4 types of wisdom are manifestations of that very conscious energy which was created by Brahmaji at the beginning of creation of this world and which was labeled as Gayatri by scriptural scholars. In this manner, Gayatri is the Mother of the 4 Vedas. Hence she is called Vedmata. Just as the element water has 4 forms viz. ice, steam (clouds, fog etc.), wind (hydrogen /oxygen) and flowing water (rivers etc.) and just as the element fire is experienced variedly like burning, heat, light and movement in the same way Wisdom â Gayatri manifests in 4 forms of the 4 Vedas. If Gayatri is a Mother then the 4 Vedas are her sons.
So far we have elucidated the subtle nature of Gayatri as Vedmata. Now let us cogitate upon Gayatriâs gross form. Brahmaji via the 4 Vedas created the 24-lettered Gayatri Mantra. Every letter of this single Mantra has a subtle divine principle which when activated manifests the branches, sub-branches of the 4 Vedas. A tiny seed of a Banyan tree has a gigantic Banyan tree subtly embedded in it. When this seed is sown, it starts growing into a gigantic tree with many branches, sub-branches, leaves, fruits etc. It is gigantic when you compare it to the size of the tiny, miniscule seed from which it has grown. This holds true for the 24 letters of Gayatri because they can be compared to the abovementioned seed. When these seeds of Gayatri sprout forth, they manifest as the gigantic Vedas.
Indian philosophy believes that the beginningless God created all this via Brahmaji. As soon as the thought of creating this world appeared in the psyche of Brahma, there was a simultaneous manifestation of Shakti (Divine Energy). Via this Shakti, 2 types of worlds were created wherein one was inert and the other was conscious. That Shakti which is responsible for the propagation of the inert world is called Prakriti (Mother Nature) and that Shakti which is responsible for creation of a conscious world is called Savitri.
Two Shaktis are at work in creation of Brahmajiâs inert /conscious worlds viz. 1) Sankalp Shakti (power of resolve) 2) Parmanu Shakti (atomic energy). But at first it was Sankalp Shakti that was made use of because without that, a conscious world can never be created. And without consciousness, how can atomic energy be utilized? The inert world was by itself inert because neither can anyone know about it nor is it of any use. For the ease of manifesting consciousness, inert materials are used as its means of creation.
Godâs wife is nothing but consciousness, desire, vibration. In this manner Brahmaji (God) became 2 from 1. Now God was called LakshmiâNarayan, Seetaram, RadheyâShyam, Uma-Mahesh, ShivaâShakti, MayaâBrahman, PrakritiâParameshwara etc.
Via this Shakti (Energy) many materials and living beings were to be created. Hence it had to partition itself into 3 parts so that it could be mixed in various ways. Thus could various objects be created via various Gunas, actions, natures of both the inert and conscious varieties. The 3 parts of Godâs Shakti are the 3 Gunas called 1) Satva 2) Rajas 3) Tamas. Sattva means the Divine Principle of God. Rajas means the admixture of inert objects and its opposite divine principles which lead to bliss oriented consciousness. Tamas means the existence of atoms in lifeless / inert objects. These 3 principles are the root cause of this gross, material world. Over and above these, the gross materials used to create this world are mind, water, wind, fire, space. The visible world works via the Tanmatras of the 5 elements mentioned above called sound, form, taste, smell and touch. Nature has 2 parts viz. subtle Prakriti (nature) which is an energy (Shakti) flow and the second is the flow of the vital force (or Prana). It encompasses Sattva, Rajas and Tamas (the 3 Gunas). The gross nature via which the visible world is created and made use of is essentially atomic in nature. It makes use of the 5 elements viz. earth, water, fire, wind and space.
From the above sentences the readers must have clearly understood that initially there was one Brahman (God or all-pervading soul) and from that manifested Adi Shakti (Primordial Divine Energy). This Adi Shakti is called Gayatri. Brahman divided itself into 3 categories 1) Sattva â which is âHreemâ or Saraswati 2) Rajas â called âShreemâ or Lakshmi 3) Tamas â called âKleemâ or Kali. In reality there were only 2 categories of Brahman in the form of Sattva and Tamas and an admixture of these 2 gave rise to Rajas. It is like the Indian Rivers Ganga and Jamuna uniting to form Saraswati river. In reality Saraswati is not a separate river. Just as the union of Ganga and Jamuna results in Saraswati, in the same way an admixture of Sattva and Tamas results in Rajas. This is thus the 3-fold Prakriti (nature) of God.
One hears of the quarrel regarding Advaitvad (Monism), Dvaitvad (Dualism), Traitvad etc. Yet on analysis of all these âismsâ one realizes that it is only a difference in oneâs perception of it. Brahman (God), Jeeva (living being) and Prakriti (Mother Nature) all exist in this world. Initially there was one Brahman & hence Advaitvad is true. Then Brahman manifested Shakti (nature) and hence Dvaitvad too is correct. And then the union of Brahman and Shakti manifested Jeeva i.e. an admixture of Sattva (consciousness) and Tamas (inertness) lead to Rajas (Jeeva). Thus Traitvad too is correct. When one attains salvation (Mukti) the Jeeva (living being) no longer exist. From this it is clear that the existence of a living being which is dependent on the mind, intellect, psyche and ego is merely an admixture.
This is not the right time to seriously enter the subject of spiritual philosophy and throw light on the nature of the soul. In this section we wanted to depict the differences between gross and subtle nature (Prakriti) because it is from here that Science gets categorized into 2 parts. It is from here that the dual nature of mankind commences. All those individuals who conduct research on gross nature, made up of the 5 elements viz. earth, water, fire, wind and space are called material scientists. All of them via their intellectual prowess understood the differences lying in these 5 elements and thus invented material comforts. These material comforts are chemicals, agriculture, electricity, steam, sculpting, music, language, literature, vehicles, home-making, medical cures, political power, astronomy, scriptures, weapons, philosophy, geological attainments etc. In this manner they invented useful (materially) machines for railways, cars, post, radio, television, photos, computers etc. Thus material comforts like wealth, relaxation were created. Our scriptures label all the benefits from this path as and Bhoga (sense pleasures). This Science is called Material Science. This Science involves utilization of gross nature.
Subtle nature (Prakriti) is that which after manifesting from Adi Shakti Gayatri gets categorized into Saraswati, Lakshmi and Durga. These all-pervading Shaktis are infinite fold more subtle than the 5 gross elements. Just as when wind contacts the water flow in a river which results in a gurgling sound, in the same way 3 types of sound vibrations emanate from the Shakti flow of subtle nature. From the Sattva flow emanates the sound âHreemâ, from Rajas âShreemâ and from Tamas âKleemâ. More subtle than these sound vibrations is the sound of âOmâ in Brahman (God). Spiritual seekers who practise the path of sound vibration meditation called Naadyoga can actually hear the subtle sound vibrations. Thus they go beyond the shackles of subtle nature and ultimately merge in Brahman (God).
