www.bergey.com is the site for a manufacturer of a quality 10kw turbine. Another good one is www.windturbine.net for the Jacobs 20kw. Both sites have pricing and dealer lists. But these are only going to supply for 1 to 2 homes. I have the 20kw Jacobs, live in eastern Wisconsin, and the wind turbine will probably pay for itself in 15 years. There is a great article at home power magazines website. http://www.homepower.com/article/?file=HP131_pg38_Sagrillo The article is in a PDF file and has a few of the larger turbines listed with specs and the company websites so you can get more detail. Another good place to go is www.dsireusa.org they have a huge listing of state and federal programs to help pay for it with grants and tax credits. Don’t plan on making much money at least not for a while. In 10 years the electric rates will probably be much higher so you will be making out better after it has been in for a while. My only regret is not installing mine 5 years earlier. It would have been about 20% less expensive, The prices of the turbines go up just like the electric rates do but once the thing is purchased your electric rate is pretty much frozen for the life of the thing.
